The spurtle is a Scottish cooking tool made from wood. These tools have a long history in Scotland dating back to the 15th century or maybe earlier. Here in America, we've put our own spin on the spurtle, but whether you get an official Scottish one or a local one, you are going to LOVE cooking with it.
